Mass Admirals/Devils Hockey 2026–2027 Season: Helpful Information

Dear Mass Admirals/Devils Families,

As we approach the 2026–2027 hockey season, we want to extend our sincere thanks for your support and patience throughout our inaugural year as the Mass Admirals. The transition to the Admirals brand has been positive overall, and we appreciate your continued trust as we grow and refine the program.

With tryouts approaching, our new ownership has evaluated this past season and will be implementing several enhancements to better serve both players and families. Your loyalty and feedback are incredibly important to us. While we know we can’t meet every expectation, we are committed to continuous improvement.

We also recognize that this time of year can be stressful—deciding between programs, navigating multiple tryouts, and managing all the chatter on social media. Our goal is to simplify the process by earning your confidence that Mass Admirals/Devils Hockey is the right place for your player.

Our Focus: What Matters Most
At Mass Admirals/Devils Hockey, we prioritize player development, team camaraderie, and preparation for high school hockey. We emphasize skill-building, ice time, and training—while instilling core values such as discipline, commitment, and respect. We believe our program provides a complete hockey experience for players at every age and skill level.

Club vs. Town Level Hockey
We proudly offer both Club and Town level programs:
  • Town Teams are ideal for players seeking a balanced hockey schedule with local competition and less travel.
  • Club Teams are designed for players ready for a higher level of commitment, travel, and competition.
A common misconception is that our program is only “Town Hockey.” In reality, we offer a full developmental pathway from beginner to Premier-level Club teams.

Birth Year Teams
We will continue to expand our birth year team structure, adding 2016 and 2017 Premier Teams (pending numbers and skill level). Elite teams will be placed in appropriate leagues based on overall team skill.

Club Teams Overview
Our Club teams compete in the Premier Hockey League of New England (PHL), playing throughout New England.
  • Premier Teams are generally led by experienced, non-parent coaches
  • Seasons run from mid-August through March and include ~30 games.
  • Teams receive two practices per week and a weekly skills session led by our own Top Speed Hockey.
  • Elite Teams follow a similar structure and moving forward will be placed in leagues appropriate for their competitive level.
Tuition:
  • Full Season: $2,995 per player
  • Half Season: $1,495 per player

Tryouts for the 2026–2027 Season
  • Tryouts begin March 9, the first date permitted by USA Hockey.
  • Registration info will be provided this week.
  • Tryout fees: $75 per skater / $75 per goalie/No Tryout fee for 8U (2021, 2020, 2019, 2018)
  • Registration deadline: March 6
  • Players must attend tryouts to be placed on a team.
  • Tuition will see a slight increase to cover league, referee, and ice costs—but will continue to remain less than other area programs.
  • Tryouts may take place over multiple sessions.  Please plan to attend all announced dates for your player's age group.
When notified of team placement, families will have a registration deadline and deposit requirement to confirm roster spots. Unless deadlines are met, roster spots will be made available to others. Tryout fees are non-refundable.

Off-Ice Training
Unless otherwise noted, Off-Ice Skills will be offered to any player looking to take their training to the next level.  A one day per week workout with your team/age level, for the entire season, just $500.00.   You will have the option to add this upon registration.

Uniform Update
We are completing our full transition to the Mass Admirals brand for the 2026–2027 season.
  • All new players must order a uniform.
  • Players who purchased a Devils uniform this season will receive a discount toward a new Admirals set. (provided upon ordering)
  • Returning players whose uniforms still fit may keep them but should consider ordering new socks or practice jerseys if needed.
  • Black helmets are required and may be purchased separately
  • Admirals pants OR shells are required.  Both are available upon purchase of uniform.  You may select.
A full uniform includes a reversible game jersey, socks, shell, and reversible practice jersey.

Lady Devils Hockey
We’re excited to launch our third season of Lady Devils Hockey!

Town (Development) Teams
Our Town-level teams currently play in the South Shore Conference (SSC), with games across Southeastern Massachusetts. We are exploring alternate leagues for next season to best fit our needs.
  • Season: September–March
  • Practices: Two per week
  • Teams focus on development, teamwork, and fun.  Led by experienced volunteer coaches.
  • Families enjoy social events like P-Bruins and Bruins outings to strengthen community ties.

New Mite House League
New for the 2026–2027 season, the Mass Admirals are introducing an 8U In-House Mite Development League—designed to help our youngest players build skills and confidence as they prepare for the next level of hockey. This program will include two practices and one game per week, all held at New England Sports Village. The league is open to players born between 2018 and 2021, with additional details to be announced soon.
