Preparing for the Year Ahead

As we approach the 2025-2026 season, many of you are already considering your options for next year. While we hope you will consider the Devils Hockey Program, we understand that families may want to explore various opportunities. To assist in your decision-making, we are providing key information to help you make an informed choice for your child’s hockey development.

What matters most to you in hockey? Is it development, social interaction, preparation for high school, the amount of ice time, skills training or team unity? Do you value life skills such as discipline, commitment, and respect for coaches and teammates? We believe the Devils Hockey Program offers a comprehensive experience in these areas. Below, you can learn more about what we provide at various age and skill levels.

Devils Hockey: Club vs. Town Level 

Devils Hockey offers both Club and Town level programs. There is a common misconception that Devils Hockey is solely a Town Program. While we do offer teams for beginners and/or those looking for less time commitment, we also provide Club level teams for players who are more seriously committed and are looking for more time dedicated to hockey. 

 

Our Club teams play in the Premier Hockey League of New England (PHL), with games held throughout New England. The season spans from mid-August to March and includes 30 games. Players are given two team practices per week, in addition to a weekly skills session led by Craig Miller Skills. At each age division, we offer two teams: the PREMIER Team and the ELITE Team. These teams are typically coached by experienced, paid, non-parent coaches.

The Club teams are designed for higher-skilled players who are committed to hockey development and growth. Players will receive exceptional coaching and preparation for advancing to Varsity-level hockey.

Cost for Club Teams:

• Full Season: $2,695 per player

• Half Season: $1,395 per player

 

We will provide tryouts for the following Premier/Elite Teams:

     • SENE Devils 18U Premier Team –  Birthyears 2007-2008.  Top 18U Players selected.  Exceptional 16U Players may be selected by invitation only.  1395.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season mid-August – Thanksgiving.

     • SENE Devils 16U Premier Team –  Birthyears 2009-2010.  Top 16U Players selected.  1395.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season  mid-August – Thanksgiving

     • SENE Devils 18U Elite Team – Next group of players ages 16U-18U will be placed on our 3rd Team.  1395.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season  mid-August – Thanksgiving

     • 14U Premier Team – Top players in 2011 age group (2012 players may qualify.  Will be determined at tryouts and based on tryout numbers)

     • 14U Elite Team – 2nd group of top players in 2011-2012 age group

     • 13U Premier Team – Top players in 2012 age group

     • 12U Premier Team – Top players in 2013-2014 age group

     • 12U Elite Team – 2nd group of top players in 2013-2014 age group

     • 10U Premier Team  – Top players in 2015-2016 age group

     • 10U Elite Team – 2nd group of top players in 2015-2016 age group

     • 8U Premier Team – Top players in 2017-2020 age group (league and price TBD)

 

All of the above is subject to change based on tryout numbers and/or necessity for optimal team creation.

 

Town teams participate in the South Coast Hockey League (SCHL), with games played primarily in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. The season runs from September to March, with 28 games. Players will have two team practices per week. Typically, we offer two teams per age division at the Town level, labeled Black, Red, and White in order of skill. These teams are coached by dedicated, experienced hockey parent volunteers.

The focus at the Town level is on creating a balanced environment for players and families. We also offer social events such as trips to P-Bruins and Boston Bruins games, fostering team unity while helping players develop their skills in a positive atmosphere.

Cost for Town Teams:

• Full Season: $2,095 per player

• Full Season ½ Ice 8U Teams: $1195.00 per player

 

We will provide tryouts for the following South Coast Hockey League Teams:

     • Devils 18U Select Team – Birthyears 2007-2010.  Next Group of players ages 16U-18U will be placed on our 4th Team.  This team will participate in the SCHL League.  Players will be cut at this level if not meeting necessary skills to play at the Midget Level or lack of necessary commitment.  1395.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season September – Thanksgiving. 

     • Devils 18U/16U Skills Only – This will be offered to any player not making a Devils 16U-18U Team.  795.00 Half Season Cost – One weekly evening SKILLS session and 1 night of 3x3 hockey.  September – November.  

     • 14U Black Team – Players in 2011-2012 age group 

     • 12U Black/Red Teams – Players in 2013-2014 age group.  First team/Second team

     • 10U Black/Red Teams  – Players in 2015-2016 age group.  First team/Second team

     • 8U Black/Red Teams – Players in 2017-2020 age group.  Play HALF Ice.  First team/Second team

 

All of the above is subject to change based on tryout numbers and/or necessity for optimal team creation.

 

We will kick off our 2nd Season of the Lady Devils in 2025-2026!  As we did this season, we plan to offer the same teams next season.  We are currently working to enter the NEGHL League however if we are not successful, we will continue as we did this season, providing an independent game schedule.  Our 19U1 Team is tournament focused, providing 3-5 tournaments.   All teams will receive 12 game minimum for half season teams and 24 game minimum for full season teams.  

 

Cost for Lady Devils Teams:

• Full Season: $2,695 per player

• Half Season:  $1595.00 per player

 

We will provide tryouts for the following Lady Devils Hockey Teams:

     • 19U1 Lady Devils Team - Players in 2006-2008 age group.  2009-2010 players may be selected by invitation only. 1595.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season  mid-August – Thanksgiving.

     • 19U2 Lady Devils Team - Players in 2006-2008 age group.  2009-2010 players may be selected by invitation only. 1595.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season  mid-August – Thanksgiving.

     • 16U Lady Devils Team – Players in 2009-2010 age group.  2011-2012 players may be selected by invitation only.  1595.00 Half Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season  mid-August – Thanksgiving

     • 14U Lady Devils Team - Players in 2011-2013 age group.  2695.00 Full Season Cost – 2 weekly evening practices/1 weekly evening skills.  Season mid-August – March.  

 

Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season will begin in Mid- March 2025. We are waiting for USA Hockey to release permissible dates.   Once they do, we will publicize our tryout dates right away.  Registration for tryouts will open in January 2025.

All players must attend tryouts to be placed on any Devils team. This year, all players will be charged a tryout fee. (There is NO TRYOUT FEE FOR 8U but please REGISTER your player so they are expected and we have their name for check in)  The registration fees for the 2025-2026 season will remain the same as in previous years ($2,095 for Town teams, with Club and Lady Devils teams priced accordingly).

Our tryout process is comprehensive and may require attendance on multiple nights, similar to other competitive hockey programs.

• You will REGISTER your child on the Devils Website and select PLAYER or GOALIE

• A tryout fee of 100.00 per skater and 50.00 per goalie is required for all participating in a  Devils Hockey Tryout.  This is collected at time of registration.  There is NO FEE for 8U Players.  Please still REGISTER 8U players for tryouts though so we will have their name at check in.  

• Everyone attending a Devils Tryout must be registered by the DEADLINE DATE, which is March 7th.   

• Your child will attend a tryout at a time assigned to their age group.  See tryout schedule above. 

• You will be notified by April 1 of your child’s team placement.  Once your player has been assigned to a team you will be asked to register your child by a certain date to hold their spot on that team.  

• No refunds are provided for tryouts.  

Uniforms

• Uniform designs/style will not change. There IS a different uniform worn by all 16U Players and 18U Players so if your child is entering this level, be prepared to purchase a new uniform.

• Those who have uniforms that will fit your child for the 25-26 season do not need to order a new uniform.  Please consider ordering new home/away socks and a new practice jersey if needed.

• If you are new to Devils or are an existing player needing a new uniform you will place your order in March, 2025.  All uniforms are custom ordered and will arrive prior to the season start.  

• A full Devils uniform consists of a home and away game jersey, home and aways Devils socks and a Devils reversible practice jersey.  Black helmets and black pants are required and purchased on your own.

• All uniform order information will be provided to you prior to tryouts.
