Hello Devils Families!
Our first month of the hockey season has now come and gone and our players and families seem to all be settling in to their “hockey lives” once again.  For the most part, we started off on a smooth note, with the ‘Village” welcoming us back with Yogurt Beach, the Barn and of course, Dunkin Donuts!  It is great to be at the rink on any Saturday and see so many familiar faces and be able to catch up with those we have missed over the summer.  It truly is a great “hockey family” atmosphere.
I wanted to send a few updates out to all.  Your team admins have done a great job communicating.  Please help them out by responding in a timely manner to any of their requests.  Their job is not an easy one!  Trying to get responses from people in this busy day and age is a task!  But you guys are great and for the most part we are very fortunate to have such a great response rate to our events and activities!
Our coaches have been working on practice plans and game plans.  After meeting and getting to know their players this first month, they can now set expectations for the team for the remainder of the season.  This will adjust accordingly depending on the effort and commitment of the players.
Please read below for some important info.
Schedules/Parity Round
Please note that all practices WILL be held on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9th. Our parity round of games is now complete and teams have had the opportunity to play against a variety of teams.  The SNEHC league has now determined whether to move teams up or down from their divisions.  The new schedule should be released by the weekend,   I promise to share it as SOON as it is received.  Teams may have a practice or a scrimmage scheduled for the weekend of the 14/15th so please keep a look out for updates.
You WILL have Wednesday, Thanskgiving Eve off so plan now!
Devils Shoulder Patches
If you are looking to have your shoulder patches sewn on to your uniform, I have been told by some parents that both of the below places do a good job at a cost of about $20.00.  The new patches will be made available for purchase in the Spring again, when next year’s uniforms are being ordered.  429 S Washington St, North Attleboro · (508) 699-1000 570 Kelley Blvd, North Attleboro · (508) 699-2100

DAJ
For those teams who attend the DAJ sessions, please read on.  As you may know, the DAJ which was run by owner David Jensen and Glenn Featherstone was not in existence, to our surprise as much as yours, on week one of the season.  Dave has chosen to move on to another rink up in Worcester.  What has been left behind is now being managed by New England Sports Village.  NESV has hired Ben McNamana, who has the task of restructuring the new facility.  As this project progresses you will continue to see improvement each week.  They plan to hopefully have all of their visions brought to fruition by early November.  Players will still be exposed to instruction of shooting, puck handling, accuracy and strength through various station based drills.  We do appreciate your patience during this transition and hope that the end result will be even that much better than our previously expected off ice experience.
Devils Apparel
I wanted to let you know that DEVILS apparel is currently available at MANNYS, located on Mendon Road in Cumberland as well as some items being available at the 95 Gear Pro Shop at the New England Sports Village.
Team Photos
Just a heads up that we have secured some dates for Team Hockey Photos to be taken of each of our teams Mites – Bantams.  This is tentatively scheduled for early November so that you will be able to have your pictures returned to you in time for holiday gift giving!  Stay tuned for the dates to be released!
Jim Plunkett – Parent Social!
I know you have all been receiving information from your team admins regarding our upcoming Devils Hockey Parents Social!  I can promise you that if you attend this great event, you will be glad you did!  This is a great night out to meet other wonderful Devils families.  We have a lot in common – we like to have FUN! Tickets are just $20.00pp and the fun begins at 7:00pm on Saturday, November 4th at Bella Sarno Restaurant in North Attleboro.  Lighter fare is served and DANCING and SINGING is enjoyed by all – even if it only watching OTHERS!  It is a great night of entertainment and I HOPE that all of our Devils families DO plan to attend!  Let’s make this night a night to remember!  Tickets may be purchased and more information may be found on the Devils website at:  https://devilshockey.goalline.ca/register.php?reg_form_id=19157.
