Wishing our Devils Hockey Families a Happy Thanksgiving!

2016-11-24

For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends. – By Ralph Waldo Emerson

I want to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of our Hockey familes.  May your hearts be glad and your homes be happy...   I am very thankful to be a part of such great hockey family...

I just want to let you know that we are saying goodbye to a chapter of this program - soon long to be gone will be the days of traveling miles and random hours for practices.  It takes very dedicated and special people to commit to the sport under these types of circumstances and you have all shown your commitment and support for many, many years.
Now the time has come that the North Devils will have a rink that we can call "home".  We cannot be grateful enough to Dave Boucher and company for the New England Sports Village.  We hope to continue to bring together many more hockey families and carry on the Devils hockey tradition of "friendship, community and family".

Next week our practices will start up at the New England Sports Village.  Team schedules are current.  A few game times were recently changed.  Please check schedules on the Devils website frequently and carefully.  Updates will be provided if necessary  Your teams will move forward with consistent and close to home ice times.  Please make every effort to get your child to all of their practices as this will improve the teams compete levels immensely.  The coaches commit a lot of time and energy and having a full team at practices is important to what they want to teach.  This is a dream come true for our coaches!  Let's show them our support.

You will see that the Holiday week schedule has been updated on the Devils website. There are still a few team practices on the calendar but for the most part no games or tournaments.  Mites, Squirts and Pee Wee Red & White Teams will be scheduled for Outdoor Games at Patriot Place Winter Skate over vacation week!   Stay tuned for dates and times to be posted shortly!

Tomorrow evening, if you are looking for something to do and you are curious about the new rink, then head on down to the NEW ENGLAND SPORTS VILLAGE located on Commerce Way in Attleboro to join several DEVILS families planning to attend the Northeast Generals vs New Jersey Titans game at 7:30pm.  The Northeast Generals are a Junior Hockey team who participate in the North American Hockey League.  Players are aged 16-20 years old.  It's great hockey to watch!  Wear your NORTH DEVILS game jerseys and show your support!  There is sure to be a good Devils showing!

For those of you planning to participate in the Santa Parade this Sunday, please plan to meet as scheduled at 2:30pm at the Baptist Common in North Attleboro. It's always a great day for the kids to show their Devils Pride! Remember to have the kids wear their RED game jerseys.  Coaches and team admins will be walking with the players so drop off is fine.   Then get a good spot on the parade route to watch!

If you are participating in a Thanksgiving Tournament this weekend - GOOD LUCK!  Have a great time enjoying the games, time spent with your friends and hopefully winning some of those competitions!  Please send me updates from the rinks!  GO DEVILS!!!

I look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks at the new rink.
Please note that we will be working hard to get our name out there and to generate interest in the DEVILS to new families!  A LTP session will start up after January for new players interested in the sport.  Information will be sent out next week!  Now is the time to get your friends to join the Devils!

For now, relax and enjoy your family and friends and look forward to the next few days of having a lot of fun with friends at the rinks!

Happy Thanksgiving...Don't eat too much Turkey!
Love you all!

on behalf of the North Devils Hockey Board
