All North Devils Bantam, Pee Wee and Squirt teams have been entered to participate in this year's MASS STATE PLAYDOWNS!
The play downs are a series of games played amongst the teams in our District which is District 5,
These towns include:
Cape Cod Canal Hockey, Falmouth Youth Hockey, Hetland Panthers Youth Hockey, Lower Cape Coyotes, Martha's Vineyard Youth Hockey, Nantucket Youth Hockey, Barnstable Youth Hockey, North Devils Hockey, SWS Youth Hockey, Tri-County Saints and Yarmouth-Dennis Youth Hockey.
The towns who choose to participate, will play games by round to move on to the next series.
This is a one game elimination series.
If the players win their first game, they will move forward to play another game against another District 5 team.
The top team in the division will represent District 5 at a State Tournament held in March. It generally only takes 2 rounds to determine who will represent the district That means only 2 games to win to advance to the State Tournament in March!
This tournament is a weekend long tournament held at a local rink (located in MA), to play against the top team from each district to determine who will reign as the State Champion!
In 2013 our Pee Wee Team were crowned STATE CHAMPIONS! Last season, our Bantam Black team made it to the final Championship Game. Both of our Bantam Teams were District 5 Champions. Our teams have come a long way and have done very well as you can see, in recent years.
Each game is scheduled as available, to the team determined to be the home team… Being that ice times are very slim, there is generally not much advance notification of these game times.
The cost per play down game is $20.00 which will be collected by your team administrator.
You will be notified of your gametimes as soon as the games are scheduled.
We hope that all will make every effort to have your child participate.
We wish the teams GOOD LUCK! You should represent us well!
The North Devils are proud of our teams, win or lose and are happy to provide this opportunity to your children!
GO NORTH DEVILS!
