Hard to believe another season is upon us! With end of year celebrations and banquets right around the corner, we are excited to announce our 2015-2016 North Devils season information! Registration is now available online.
Numbers for the new season indicate that we will roster 3 teams at each level. We are very pleased that our program has grown to this size and we are able to continue to provide your children with a great, family oriented, community based, competitive Town Program. Our players have enjoyed much success, with 3 teams advancing to the State Tournament this year, and 2 others advancing to the final playoff round! This speaks volumes to the success of what we have accomplished in the past 10 seasons. We hope you will continue to support the North Devils. Together we can continue to develop many fine young players into mature, responsible High School adults.
North Devils Youth Hockey has put together an evaluation program intended to provide all players with an equal opportunity to exhibit their hockey skills. Its purpose is to evaluate a player's skating ability, hockey skills, hockey knowledge and commitment to teamwork. Our goal is to place him or her within a team that provides the best environment for improving their self-confidence and enjoyment of the sport of ice hockey. And new this year, members are able to pay for their tuition costs online using Paypal! Registration is now open on the Devils website. Register now to place your child on the evaluation list.
We know you have many questions, so the below information is being to provide to help you prepare for Devils’ registration and evaluations. Additional information for the Evaluation Process, Uniforms and Program Specifics can be found on the Devils website.
What’s included for the 2015-16 Season?
Our full season tuitions, from Mite B to Bantam age, include approximately 25-30 games a season, 1 weekly skills session and 1 weekly coach’s practice.
Our teams are provided additional off-ice skills with the DAJ Skillz Center and our goalies are offered discounted sessions at Stop It Goaltending in Foxboro.
Roster Size:
The board is determined to keep the roster numbers on each team reasonable. Their goal is to roster at least 3 teams at each age group. This allows for balanced teams where players receive equal ice time in a competitive environment that is appropriate for their skill level.
Practice Information:
Practice locations vary and are determined by ice availability. The North Devils Program currently uses rinks located within a half hour radius. The 2015-2016 rinks for the upcoming season have not yet been finalized but all efforts are being made to use local rinks such as Rodman Arena and Rhode Island Sports Center for practices. We do hope not to travel to Canton or Bridgewater next season for practice ice.
In addition to on-ice practices, North Devils offers sessions at DAJ Skillz, an off-ice facility owned and operated by Olympian and NHL hockey player, David Jensen. Goalies are offered discounted sessions at Stop It Goaltending in Foxboro.
Age Divisions for the 2015-2016 Season:
Mite - Birthyear 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
Squirt - Birthyear 2005-2006
Pee Wee - Birthyear 2003-2004
Bantam - Birthyear 2001-2002
Middle School - players in grades 6, 7, 8 (school year 2015-16)
Evaluation Dates:
ALL Players must be pre-registered by March 20, 2015 to attend an evaluation.
All children that participate in the evaluation process are placed on a team.
All children that would like to play for the North Devils in the fall MUST attend an evaluation.
(
This does not apply to our Mighty Mite House League).
Full equipment must be worn. Children may be asked to return for a second evaluation.
Teams and rosters will be determined based on age, participation numbers and evaluations.
Mighty Mites (1st Year Players) – Your child does not need to attend an evaluation. This is a registration only program. Space is limited to first 48 players so register quickly.

Where do I register?
Registration is now open! Complete your registration using the
2015-16 Registration tab in the left-hand column of the home page. All the information is provided. Players must pre-registered in order to participate in evaluations.
New this year! The North Devils registration payments are now handled through PayPal. Credit card payments can be a form of payment with no additional processing fees. Payments may be structured into installments.
Pay in Full Discount! Save $75.00 when you choose offline payment at time of registration. Make payment IN FULL by cash or check to North Devils Hockey prior to March 20
th. This opportunity will only be made available until March 20
th and payment must be received for your child to participate in the North Devils Evaluation process.
League Information
North Devil teams play in leagues both in Massachusetts and in Rhode Island. Below provides links to each of their websites.

Mite and Mighty Mite Development Programs
The Mighty Mite division follows the American Development Model (ADM), created by USA Hockey. Mighty Mites has approximately 20 cross ice games and 2 practices each week. This program is focused on new hockey players that are just starting out in the game of hockey. These players need not attend an evaluation. Simply register your child for the Mighty Mite Program. This program is limited to the first 48 regsitrants. Register quickly!
The Devils will also have three Mite teams (A, B and C level). We anticipate the A & B teams playing in the SNEHC League out of Rhode Island. We anticipate the Mite C teams to participate in a league out of the Rhode Island Sport Center. This development system allows children to progress from the Mighty Mite program to more competitive league teams.
North Attleboro Middle School Hockey
Our North Attleboro Middle School teams participate in the Foxboro Sports Center Junior High School League and are offered approximately 23 games each season and 1 weekly coach’s practice. North Devils members are offered a substantial discount when they choose to play on a North Attleboro Middle School team as a second team.
Uniforms:
The program tuition does not include North Devils game uniforms. Uniforms consist of personalized home and away game jerseys and matching socks. Those new to the program will need to purchase a complete game uniform. Cost for the uniform is due with the child’s registration.
Mighty Mite uniforms consist of a lightweight jersey and a pair of red socks.
North Hockey requires a BLACK helmet and BLACK pants as a part of their uniform. Please keep this in mind as you update your child’s equipment. Helmet decals will be provided. Practice jerseys are also provided by the association at the start of the season.
The uniform coordinator will be at all evaluations to handle sizing and all the uniform orders.
Discounts:
- Goalie fees will be determined based on the number of goalies placed on a team.
- A 10% Sibling discount is offered to a 2nd child in the program.
- Special “paid in full” discounts also exist
Discounts do not apply to Middle School or Mighty Mite fees….more information is provided when you register online
Those who qulaify for a sibling discount will be provided a sibling "discount code". Please contact northhockey@comcast.net.
Fundraising:
Please note that ALL North Devils players will be required to participate in one of our “canning” fundraising events scheduled mid-season. These fundraising events help bring exposure to our program as well as generate necessary funds to help offset costs of our program. If you prefer NOT to participate in this fundraising event, you have the option of paying a $50.00 fundraising fee. This option must be SELECTED and PAID for at time of registration.
USA Hockey:
Registration with USA Hockey and MA Hockey is a requirement of the North Devil’s program.
Registration with USA Hockey does not open until April 1, 2015. At that time, you will need to go to USA Hockey online to complete their registration process. You will then need to mail a hard copy of your confirmation page to: North Devils, 50 Juniper Rd., B1, North Attleboro, MA 02760 no later than May 1
st. The anticipated USA Hockey Cost is estimated to be $48.00 for the 2015-16 season.

My son is moving on to Midgets, where can he play?
Devils Hockey will not have a Midget team in the fall. An information sheet has been provided to those in the program that have a child Midget age or entering high school. It explains the options for a child that falls in this age category. If you need a copy of this letter, please contact Patti McTernan.
