MIGHTY MITE Parents and Players!!
We hope you are enjoying the start of the 2014-2015 Hockey season! We have already seen a vast improvement in your players, while watching the 7am games on Sunday mornings!
They are doing fantastic and all look pretty happy! I love those smiles!
Our coaches and team admins have stepped up and are doing a great job, making sure that parents are informed and players are progressing.
In order for the season to continue to roll smoothly and for your children to get the most they can out of our program, we would like to mention a few things.
Please take a minute to read the below and as always, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
- All players are required to wear MOUTHGUARDS and NECKGUARDS. We realize some of these players are very little however, we need the players to learn the right habits from the start. Their safety is our number one priority. Most sport shops sell a small, flavored mouthguard which the players seem to like and it fits fairly well. You most likely will need to cut it down to size regardless, to fit their little mouths.
- I have a very few tickets left for the upcoming January 3rd Mite Intermission Skate at the Boston Bruins! The Bruins will face off against the Ottawa Senators at 3:00pm and our players will take to the ice during intermission. The cost of the tickets are $100.00 each.I have them in hand now… so a great idea for a Holiday surprise!I will be distributing to those who already responded soon. Please let me know if you may be interested.First come – first serve!
- November 14th – Providence Bruins! - Your team admins have done a great job keeping you all updated regarding the Mite Skate at the Providence Bruins taking place on Friday, November 14th. The players will play cross ice prior to the 7:00pm Providence Bruins game. The P-Bruins players will follow them up for their warm up skate. This is a super thrill opportunity for our players and they enjoy this opportunity every year as they continue through the Devils Hockey program. You will receive a SIGN UP GENIUS invite soon. Please respond promptly and turn your payments into your team administrator by the required deadline.
- DAJ Skills – In order for your children to gain the most out of the DAJ Skills on Saturday mornings in Foxboro, we ask that parents please remain outside the facility. The children get easily distracted trying to impress Mom or Dad. The instructors have respectfully asked that we allow them the time and space to work with our children so they may provide the utmost in skill instruction. We also ask that you inform the instructors if your child may need to exit early. They match up the players and this information will assist them in creating their pairings at the beginning of the class.
- Team Pictures – We will be having a professional photographer taking DEVILS Hockey Team and individual photos this year. Please look for information to come from your team admin as soon as it is available. The pictures will be taken following a Sunday 7:00am game. Date TBA but in time for you to have returned for the holidays!
- Rodman Dressing Areas – If possible we ask that you use the following location to get your child ready for the Sunday morning games. It will allow the players to be near their teammates and have the team in the same area if coaches would like to address them before or after their game. This won’t be strictly adhered to but please use as a guideline to alleviate congestion in one or two areas.
- Red Team - Far Benches
- Black Team - Locker Room 11
- White Team - Locker Room 8
- Gray Team - Close Benches
To help us to keep things as organized as possible and running as smoothly as possible, we rely on YOU to make that happen. Your timely response to emails, meeting deadlines and prompt payments are so important and very much appreciated. We value your time and commitment and hope you can understand our expectation of you as well.
Enjoy your team parties, your upcoming fun activities and please – ENJOY EVERY MOMENT of these young hockey years. They are only young once and their experience will be the springboard to their love of the game and creating many more happy hockey memories, both on and off the ice. We are enjoying the season start and hope that you and your player are as well!
Thank you all,
GO DEVILS!
